Memorial Day

We went to a BBQ at our friends' Megan and Ian house and Dalton got to play in a kiddie pool! He loved the water!

Dalton loves the swing! We had our Ridgeline Park Event today and Dalton had so much fun swinging!

9 months cont..

Dalton at 9 months is

rolling everywhere
can get up like he is going to crawl but only go backwards
plays ball with stanley
waves
blows kisses
eats mostly solid foods
has 4 teeth
wearing 24 month clothes


He is changing everyday and I love being able to witness it all. He is stubborn or determined however you like to say it, but he is the happiest baby! I love my son more than anything.

We go for his 9 month check up on Tuesday and I will let you know what the doctor says!

9 months!

Dalton is 9 months old today. We took him to the beach again for some family time. He loved it! He ate soooo much sand.

The scale

Dalton will be nine months on Saturday! Crazy!!

But I had to share my journey with the scale... When I was pregnant I hated getting weighed at the doctor it was absolutly aweful!I gained a total of 45 lbs that's right 45. It took me nine months and at the end that was the final number. I was terrified I would not be able to lose the weight. I felt very vain to even be worried about it. Everyone told me it would fall off eventually... Well here it is it took me nine months to gain 45lbs and it took me 9 months to lose 50lbs. I have gotten back to my prebaby weight and then some. I walked alot with friends and tried to be aware of what I eat but I do love fried food! Dalton is a snuggle baby. So I think that has made the biggest difference. He is almost 30 lbs, I get to carry my own personal weights everywhere I go. I just wanted to share. It did not fall off right away but it took me nine months to gain the weight so my goal was to lose it in nine months.

Dada Dada Dada

All morning long Dalton has been saying Dada Dada Dada. Gavin had to work pretty much all day yesterday from when Dalton woke up until he went down for the night. So Dalton wanted nothing to do with me this morning. From 6 until Gavin woke up at 745 the only thing Dalton said was Dada. He started rolling down the hall looking at our bedroom door yelling Dada. It was so sweet.

Batman

I take home the toys from the infant area at church and clean them each week. This week Dalton wanted all the toys I had. He had already played with them all morning at church and then wanted to play with them all by himself. Needless to say they will be cleaned for a second time this week.

Random Facts:
Dalton is blowing kisses. It might be the cutest thing ever! He learned when Nana was in town.
He can throw the ball to stanley. It just slowly falls out of his hands but rolls quite a ways and Stanley loves it!

Solid Food

Dalton is eating some solid foods now and loves it! He would like all of his food to be solid if I would let him. He has tummy issues so it is still half and half.

Go stars~

I know the stars didn't make the playoffs. We are watching so much hockey I decided to dress him up like a little modano. :)

My Angel

It has been one of those mornings. The past few days have been crazy. I have had this allergy cough thing. Dalton is teething and not sleeping. So needless to say it's a rough morning. Gavin even got up at 6 to play with Dalton and let me sleep a few more hours. I have gotten up alot the past few nights to feed, hold and play with Dalton. He is really cuddly when he doesn't feel good and wants to be held all the time. Back to my morning. Anyways he has just been really fussy today and I am coughing up green nastiness. So I broke down. I cried and cried because I couldn't fix it. I was warming up a bottle but it wasn't going fast enough. I finally got the bottle warm.

Dalton holding his favorite red block in one hand sucking on his bottle and rubbing my head. I love my head rub it calms me down. My mom has done that my whole life. My fussy teething baby is sucking on his bottle looking at his mommy cry and starts rubbing my head (not pulling my hair but gently rubbing my forehead). It made me cry more. He is my angel. I love him so much and I know it is hard somedays but God gave me the best baby!

Our House

God amazes me everyday.

Here is our house story: In April we found out we didn't owe money on our taxes and had sold the Jeep. So we had money for a down payment on a house. If you know me you know I am super tight with money and change scares me:)So needless to say this was a big deal. Jay and Gavin had talked about money and being wise with what God gives you. We spend a mortgage payment each month in rent and it gets wasted away. So anyways I told Gavin in April that I would start to look at homes and pray about what to do.(scared to death) The only thing I really wanted in a house is 2 sinks in the master bath and a garden tub, pretty silly but its what I wanted in a house.I also said I would not buy if we didn't get the first time home buyers credit. The market in California is absolutly crazy, so to find a house in three weeks is insane. We put offers on townhomes, condos, and homes and got out bid everytime. Then we had to go out of town for the last week of April. Our relator was great and put offers on houses that she thought we would like. Thursday night the 29th all of our offers had been out bid but one house. We both thought there was no way. Then we get a phone call Friday morning... they accepted our offer...... I was in shock.... then we had to get in escrow (by the way we still hadn't seen the house at this point).

We got in escrow at 4:06 pm

We got to see the house it needs a little love but it is perfect! and of course it has

2 sinks in the master bath and
a garden tub..... and even a lemon tree

God just said "Nicole I am bigger than you even know and I will provide."

Mother's Day

My first Mother's Day! God is so good! I love being a mom more than anything in the world. My son is absolutely amazing and I have a great husband.

This is what I did on my mommy's day

Woke up to breakfast in bed, eggs, bacon and toast (with strawberry jam)
Flowers :)
Went to church
had chili for lunch
got to take a long nap (2 hours!!)
Played with my baby
Pick up sticks for dinner

Another Beach day!

Dalton loved the beach so much we decided to go back for my parents last day here. We all had a great time and Dalton didn't eat to much sand.
