Baby Boot Camp
Yesterday Dalton was four weeks old. He will be a month old on the 29th time has just flown by!
I just wanted to share a book that Sharon gave me after Dalton was born, Baby Boot Camp by Rebecca Ingram Powell. This book has been a blessing to me each day. It is a devotional book for the first 6 weeks of motherhood. It seems to reach every emotion I have felt so far! Right after he was born we had so much going on..... moving, the church launch and trying to adjust to having a newborn at home. I had a hard delivery so I was physically unable to do alot for Dalton in the beginning. The past few days have been the first time I feel close to normal. I have been able to care for him by myself during the middle of the night feedings which I couldn't do before. This book has really helped me see that God had a plan and purpose for both of us to go through this process. I would not change anything in the past month. I love my son and husband more than I could ever imagine. Family is so important to me and now has a whole new meaning. Baby Boot Camp is great for any new mom!
"You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being."

3 weeks
Today Dalton is three weeks old. Time has flown by I can't believe it has been 3 weeks! Even though I don't usually know what day it is or what time it is. He has been up all night the past few nights so I try to get sleep whenever he is sleeping during the day. Being a mom is hard work but the best job in the world.

8-29-09 Dalton's B-day!
Dalton and I had a rough labor day, but we are both doing great now! Thank you all for your prayers we appreciate everything. We had the best doctors, nurses and medical staff. They all jumped into action and were all calm the entire time. I am so blessed to have an amazing husband who stood by me and was able to be with Dalton in the nursery before they would let me in there. Gavin got to video tape all they did and take lots of pictures so I didn't miss anything. (We will post some video soon.) My parents have been great too. I am not sure how we could do this without them!
