We have been so busy I haven't been updating my blog lately! Here are a few things Dalton has been able to do:

Thanksgiving 2009

We stayed in California this year and got to celebrate with our friends at Chick-fil-a! Our good friends own the Chick-fil-a in Temecula and since they were closed we got to all bring food and eat together there. We had alot of fun and are so thankful to have such good friends!

pee story

This may be my favorite story so far. Last night Gavin was putting Dalton down for the night and he was changing Dalton's diaper. He peed on Gavin with the first diaper and then his second try Dalton shot pee everywhere. All I hear is "Nicole come in here now!" I go running in and see the pee all over the wall, clothes, Gavin and then I rubbed Dalton's head and yes... he peed on his own head. Needless to say he got a bath right after that.

My birthday!

1st Halloween

Dalton's first halloween! He was a frog thanks to Uncle Joe (Eric's dad)!! We went to a family festival friday night in Temecula, it was fun to be a new family.

Oh Happiness!

David Crowder's song "Oh Happiness" is my new favorite song right now. I can listen to it over and over again!

The title is a great way to show how I am feeling these days. Everyday I get to look at Dalton and smile! He is a true blessing from God. I might not always have a clean house, the laundry done or be out of my pjs at 5pm but I am happier than I have ever been. Some people say they were born to do something, and my something is being a mom. I always wanted to be a mom ever since I was a little girl and now I know why. I am so thankful to have a wonderful husband and son!!

We went to the pumpkin patch Sunday night with Michelle and Eric. We saw a pig race :) and got to pick out our pumpkin. Gavin and I had gone there last year and thought it would be fun to do while they were in town. We had lots of fun!

The first ER visit

Tuesday night was a very long night.... Dalton was doing good and then all of a sudden he threw up and threw up and threw up. After that we changed his pjs and he was pale and clammy. So we called the doctor to see if we need to do anything because of course I was freaking out, and I was not sure what to do. So she told me to take him to the ER because he should not be throwing up that much and she was worried of an infection. Well she told me to calmly take him to the ER. Which was nice because if she just said to take him to the ER then I probably would of freaked out even more.

The three of us were there for 6 hours. They checked him really good, and ran a few tests. They wanted to make sure there was not any blockage or swelling, and everything looked good. At about 3 in the morning he woke up and was smiling at all the doctors and got his color back. We left about 4 am and was told to watch him and make sure it doesn't happen again. So we survived the first ER visit. He slept all day and night yesterday and is more of himself today. Hopefully he will get sick during the day so I can just take him to the doctor next time.
